Dilla Libre Mural Collab

A collaboration with the owner of Dilla Libre and I to paint the restaurant's building exterior. When Covid 19 caused restaurants to close, it was going to be a miracle to keep business afloat when they could not open, offering take-out only. People were hesitant to interact with others, and competition for customers increased while sales decreased. Conceived as an homage to survival through trying times for the community, we created bright, positive imagery to draw attention to the location and also lift spirits. Having people stop to chat about how much they loved the art was something that helped get Mike and I through this isolated time. Concept and spray paint collaboration, freehand.
