The client had outdated packaging and was looking for me to create a new logo and shelf presence. They felt a logo featuring their gelato cart would suit them best because it was what they used to serve gelato out of when they first began the company, however their logo already used the gelato cart imagery, and they expressed the need for a change. I provided a refreshed design inspired by a gelato cone shape, in the pattern of an overhead umbrella of a cart. The circles also represent the people around the cart. I designed a new wrap that the client could proudly display on the shelves, which stood out from large competitors such as Ben & Jerrys and Haagen Daas. The client chose a modern & impactful version of the logo. I created a bold look for the wraparound on the packaging. The packaging looks great on it's own, but on the shelves is where it really stands out; the competing brands are almost invisible in comparison. I created this logo in 2007, is still in use and has stood the test of time.
